How to drive the little kettle. Click any wagon standing on a siding: the kettle couples to it and to everything outward of it, and pulls them onto the headshunt. The kettle can tow only three. Click a wagon on the headshunt: it and everything beyond it are uncoupled into the siding whose lever is thrown. Throw a lever by clicking its numbered knob or pressing 1, 2 or 3. Capacities are nailed to the buffer stops: 5, 3 and 3. Nothing moves unless the kettle moves it.
