ENVELOPE · LOOSE INSERT (FOUND BETWEEN PAGES 3 & 4)

Per intake procedure: personal effects discovered during inspection are returned to the seller. Photocopy retained for file FT-104.

To whoever inspects this car next—

I replaced the plugs myself last summer,

right out in the driveway, tools laid on the gravel.

Took most of an afternoon.

She runs straight and true.

Eighty thousand honest miles.

Plugs gapped last August.

The trunk latch sticks in cold weather. Sorry about that.

Treat her square.

BACK PAGE · BUYER STATEMENT — typed by intake clerk K. MOORE from interview

Owner reports the following conditions in his own words. Recorded verbatim where possible:
“There is a tap from the engine when cold which goes away after three minutes.”
“The trunk lid does not seal at the passenger-side corner. Gets wet in heavy rain.”
“Radio dial drifts. I tried to fix it. Could not find the part.”
“Brakes pull slight to the right above forty. I replaced the shoes in November.”
“No accidents. One curb strike, left rear, 1972. Repaired at Don Hennessey Body Shop, Maplewood.”
Appraiser annotation (T.R.): Owner's account substantially aligns with observed condition. Curb-strike repair consistent with stated work; quality acceptable for resale. Cold tap likely lifter — non-disqualifying. Customer presents the vehicle accurately and the offer reflects condition fairly. Good trade for the lot.
