The Starline Diner · 48 Hours With The Moon

Red Cloud, Nebraska · July 20 & 21, 1969 · Hwy 281, milepost 14
This here is our scrapbook. My wife Doris and I keep it on the back counter for anybody who wants to look. Two full days we never closed — coffee was free, the pie went where it went, and the kitchen TV was loud enough to hear from the parking lot. Strangers held hands. A trucker cried into his hash browns. We watched a man walk on the moon together, all of us in one little room off Highway 281. Tap anything here. It opens up. — Ray (Spatula) Henderson, prop.
