Canyon Light Productions & The Winslow Creek Council Present

Copper Canyon
Music Festival

July 18 · 19 · 20 · 1968

Three Days · Six Visions · One Magnificent Canyon

Wide establishing illustration of the Copper Canyon Music Festival — swirling hot orange and electric purple psychedelic colors wash over a sun-drenched Northern California meadow, stages rising from the canyon floor, thousands of music lovers streaming down from the pine-covered hills toward the sound
Copper Canyon Meadows  ·  Winslow Creek, Shasta County, California  ·  12 Miles North of Redding on Old Ridge Road

Friends, music lovers, brothers and sisters of the California hills — this summer we are going to gather at the most spectacularly beautiful outdoor amphitheater that nature ever had the inspiration to build. Three full days of the most alive, searching, passionate, transcendent music being made anywhere on the entire West Coast. The creek runs cold and clear. The pines go all the way to the sky. The stars at night above Copper Canyon are like nothing you have ever seen in your life. Come together. Bring everyone you love. This is what this summer was made for.

★ Getting There & Being There ★

How to Find UsHighway 99 north from Redding. Turn east at the Winslow Creek Road marker — our banner will be flying where you cannot miss it. Follow the signs to Copper Canyon Meadows, twelve beautiful miles through the pines. Free parking in the lower field. Carpools from the Bay Area are strongly encouraged and deeply appreciated.

Camping & ProvisionsPrimitive camping is free and available in the upper meadow — bring your sleeping bag, your tent, and your very best spirit. Fresh water runs cold from the canyon spring all three days. Local vendors will have wholesome food, candles, and good things to purchase. When you leave on Monday morning, please leave the meadow even more beautiful than you found it.

Gates & ScheduleGates open Friday, July 18th at four o'clock in the afternoon. Music begins at sundown each night and plays until the stars themselves demand an intermission. Saturday and Sunday gates open at two PM. Every single set will be the full set — no abbreviated shows, no early cuts.

The Spirit We Are BuildingThis festival is built entirely on the belief that music belongs to every living person who wants to hear it. Come in peace. Look after your neighbors. Be generous with your water and your shade. Copper Canyon belongs to all of us for these three days — let us honor it the way a place this magnificent deserves.
