POSSUM CREEK STOOP-SKIPPING SOCIETY
Trading Card Series · Issue No. 47 · "Tuesday Legends" run
Well hello there, traveler, and welcome back to the porch-flag end of the lower Wabash! I'm telling you what — if you've been driving the state route long enough to count corn-ribbons, you've surely wondered what all the commotion was about on a sleepy Tuesday afternoon in little Possum Creek. Pull over. Get yourself a fountain root beer. Today the Bureau hands you the brand-new Society card, fresh off the church-basement press, and folks — it is a doozy. Meet our champion.

How A Match Works (For The Tourist)
The Stoop. Five or six steps, painted town-hall green, lined with hand-quilted runners by Mrs. Eulalie Drake.
The Skip. Contestants begin at the top with both boots side-by-side. On the bell, they cascade — never two feet on the same step. Bonus points for syncopation.
The Penalty. Touching the rail with a hand earns a chiding from the judge and one bag of peanuts forfeited to the crowd.
The Tuesday Rule. Matches held on Tuesdays count toward the Society standings. Sunday matches are "for fun and pie."
The Bow. Always bow to the porch. Maudine says the porch remembers, and Maudine has never been wrong about a porch.
